Keeping 19th and 20th century buildings up to defence standards

Lucas Stuart has worked continuously at Sydney's Garden Island - the Royal Australian Navy's Fleet Base East - for the last ten years.

So, what have we done? Well... as you can imagine, we can't say exactly. But it has included foreshore works, restoration of 19th Century heritage buildings, refits and additions to modern buildings. Military facilities obviously have to be uncompromisingly functional. Garden Island adds to this challenge by being a prominent heritage site in the middle of Sydney Harbour.

The ability to work safely, securely and efficiently within the base's operations are keys to our success at Garden Island. As, of course, is our ability to deliver on time, on spec and on budget. Project after project.
