Allan Campbell - Executive chairman and CEO

After qualifying as a lawyer, Mr Campbell worked for several leading investment banks in Australia, London and New York. He acquired Lucas in 1995 and then listed the company on the ASX in 1999. He is responsible for the company’s strategic direction, establishing Lucas as one of the leading providers of infrastructure, construction and drilling services in Australia. Mr Campbell has been a director since 1995.
Martin Green - Independent non-executive director, chairman of audit committee

Mr Green is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and an official liquidator of the Supreme Court of NSW. He is currently a principal at BRI Ferrier (NSW) Pty Ltd Chartered Accountants, with more than 35 years in public practice. A former honorary director / treasurer of the National Trust of Australia (NSW) and Lucas director since 1999, Mr Green serves as chairman of the Lucas Audit and Risk Committee.
Mike McDermott - Non-executive director
Advanced Diploma Drilling Management
Mr McDermott has more than 40 years drilling industry experience. He established his own drilling business in 1970, growing it to become the largest drilling company in NSW, before it was acquired by Lucas in 2006. He is a director of the Australian Drilling Industry Association (ADIA) and Australian Drilling Industry Training Committee (ADITC). He was appointed to the Lucas Board in 2010.
Phil Arnall - Independent non-executive director

Mr Arnall has many years of experience in the mining and manufacturing sectors. In his early career, he led a successful mining services business. More recently, he has served as an adviser to and director of several companies. He is currently chairman of Ludowici Limited and a non-executive director of Bradken Limited and Macquarie Generation. He has been a Director since 2010.
Genelle Coghlan - Independent non-executive director

Ms Coghlan has many years business experience both domestically and internationally. After qualifying as a lawyer, she established a successful tourism business overseas. Following the sale of this venture, she became the managing director of a technical textiles business with applications in the mining, water and construction industries. Currently president of Composites Australia Inc, Ms Coghlan joined the board in 2010 and is a member of the Lucas Audit and Risk Committee.
Drilling
Brett Tredinnick – General Manager, Drilling
With more than a decade’s experience at Lucas, Brett has been responsible for some of the company’s most significant degasification projects and business growth initiatives. In 2007, he was appointed General Manager, Drilling and oversaw a period of rapid expansion, including the acquisitions of McDermott Drilling, Capricorn Weston Drilling and Mitchell Drilling. He has been responsible for significant culture and management system changes, focused on ensuring Lucas becomes the leading coal and coal seam gas drilling services provider. Prior to joining Lucas, Brett held various operational and project management roles with Rio Tinto Coal and BHP.
Daniel Sweeting – Operations Manager
Daniel’s experience spans 20 years in the mining and infrastructure sectors. An experienced Lucas project manager, Daniel was responsible for significant horizontal directional drilling pipeline projects including Sydney Water’s Cascades Sewer Crossing and the Brooklyn to Dangar Island Sewer Rising Main. A fitter and machinist by trade, Daniel worked for Coffey Engineering Group and BAC systems before joining Lucas in 2002.
Kerry Brydon – Exploration Services Manager
Kerry entered the industry as a driller’s offsider for McDermott Drilling in 1978. He has held senior operations roles since 1981, including General Manager, McDermott Drilling and is currently responsible for leading the Lucas Exploration Drilling team. Kerry has 33 years of experience in both geotechnical and coal exploration drilling and holds an Advanced Diploma of Drilling Management.
Aubrey Bush – Project Director
Aubrey has a 36 year history in the mining industry and is an experienced manager of gas drainage projects for mining operations. He has held senior operations roles including Mine Manager, Longwall Superintendent, Operations Manager and Project Manager with major mining companies in Australia, the United Kingdom and Papua New Guinea. Aubrey holds a First Class Mine Managers Certificate, QLD.
Rick Morar – Project Director
Rick is a specialist in the design of extreme-reach wells and has more than 15 years of experience as a directional driller, working for major oil companies including Shell, Mobil, BP, Chevron and Santos. He provides technical guidance to the directional drilling and engineering services teams. Rick has worked as an operations manager on international drilling operations for Weatherford, Precision Energy and Baker Hughes.
Gary Salter – Business Development Manager
Gary is a key interface with our customers and is responsible for championing continuous improvement within our business. He has decades of experience as a mine geologist, including 27 years working with BHP Billiton in various senior operations management roles. An experienced and respected resources professional, Gary’s extensive industry network has been built over a 35 year working history.
Tony Speck – Technical Development Manager
Tony is a leader in the development of technologies and drilling methods used to access Coal Seam Gas, especially via lateral and multilateral drilling techniques. He brings decades of international experience to the Lucas team, where he is responsible for expanding our CSG drilling services and gas management solutions. Prior to joining Lucas, Tony was General Manager for Drilling and Completions at Arrow Energy for five years, where he saw the expansion of Arrow from a small listed company in 2006 to one of the top fifty companies in Australia when it was sold to Royal Dutch Shell and Petro China in 2010.
Engineering and Construction
Andy Lukas – General Manager, Engineering and Construction
Andy has more than forty years experience in the pipeline and drilling industry in Australia, the USA and South East Asia. He joined Lucas in 1975 as a project manager and spent the next three decades cementing Lucas’ reputation as a specialist in long distance gas and water pipeline construction and horizontal directional drilling (HDD). Andy is Australia’s leading authority on HDD; he pioneered the development of this technology and is responsible for establishing Lucas as a leader in this field. He is also a past president of the Australian Pipeline Industry Association (APIA) and International Pipeline and Offshore Contractors Association.
Group Support
Nicholas Swan – Company Secretary
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in London, Nick has held various senior financial positions before joining AJ Lucas in 2001. He is responsible for corporate planning, treasury and capital management, risk management and insurance, investor relations, business acquisitions including due diligence, compliance with the Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules and taxation law, corporate governance, preparation of statutory accounts and provision of counsel to directors.
Mark Summergreene – Chief Financial Officer
Mark joined AJ Lucas Group in August 2004 as Group Financial Controller and in January 2007 was appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer. He has established and managed shared services group support including Finance, HR, IT, Legal, QA, Inventory and Order processing functions. He is also responsible for the implementation of ERP system (BPCS) across manufacturing, engineering and services businesses, creating common financial, inventory and procedural platforms for group efficiencies.
Simon Soon – Chief Information Officer
Simon joined Lucas in 2008. He is responsible for the development of information and communications technologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness in the business. With more than 27 years experience in the Australian Water, Engineering and Construction industry and 20 years in Information Communication Technology, Simon has won numerous awards in Asset Management, Risk Management and Information Technology. Previously, he was CIO of South Australian Water and CIO of Yarra Valley Water, Victoria, Australia. Simon has a Masters degree in Engineering.
